Pickle started with model railroading when he was a young boy and received a trainset for Xmas. Now the Layout has expanded with several theme areas in place and planned long-term..
Lions Member
Pickle has been a Lion for over 20 years in the Kenner University Park Lions, where he has served the club as Secretary, President, Tail Twister, Newsletter Editor, and a number of other roles. He is a Melvin Jones Fellow and Camp Gold Star Recipient. Pickle Also serves his club as bingo chairperson.
Eagle Scout
As a young man, Pickle earned the rank of Eagle Scout, earning over 50 merit badges, serving his troop as Sr Patrol Leader, librarian, and Patrol Leader. Pickle also is a Young American Award recipient, a Lifesaving Certificate of Merit recipient, BSA Lifeguard, and worked on the Camp Staff of Salmer Scout Reservation’s Camp V-Bar for several years.
Glitter Geek
With his obsession for Carnival, Pickle naturally got pulled into decorating throws for his Krewe. Initially decorating shields, the Krewe moved to Dragon Eggs when an opportunity arose. Embracing his artisitc side, Pickle dove in collecting glitters and decorating his throws with care and dedication.
Propellor Head
Pickle has been intrigued by technology from a very young age. Being introduced to them in school and at his father’s office, it encouraged his family to get a PC in the mid 80’s. This purchase birthed a passion which turned into a career. With over 25 years in the IT world, Pickle has learned everything from Networking, podcasting, and as we continue to the future, AI. Pickle also enjoys chatting with friends online and playing various video games.
