Stop PIPA and SOPA

In a few days, Congress will be voting on two critical bills to Internet freedom. Show them you think these bills are stupid and voice your opinion. Here’s one petition that Google has out there against these bills.

Sign it and/or others to show your solidarity against these laws.

A busy little Santa

PickleSanta So For those of you not in the know, I’ve dressed as Santa for the past several years of NOLAPARTY’s XMas Toy Benefit and helped deliver the toys. This year, besides the “modeling gig” listed below, I also did the role of Santa in Mandeville at the Farmer’s market and in the Mandeville Craft Festival Parade (which was awesome) and ended at the water front, where I also posed for pictures with tons of children and families. That also means I am now a proud participant in more crying baby pics than I can shake two sticks at. If anyone that actually reads the site and was one of the parents of said crying babies, please send me a pic and I’ll add it to this post! But on a serious note, it’s awesome to see the smiles on these kids faces when they see me (Santa), especially with Tony & NolaParty @ Children’s Hospital where we deliver the toys to the kids (again with me as Santa). Today was no different. There was one little boy that saw me and had his mouth dropped in agape for the entire time i was near. You’d have thought I brought him the bike, that he insisted he was a good boy to earn, right then and there.

Picklescoop does Ads

Last week, as mentioned on the podcast, I did a “modeling” gig for my buddy Dave’s ad agency C-designs. They completed the ad and sent it out to all the participants. Check it out below.

Welcome to the new house and studio. I should have internet tomorrow there.

A side project podcast that i did a while back

A while back, at the Lions Club state convention, I did a podcast with the president of my club, Jeff. We interviewed several Lions from across the state about Lionism, events they hold and attend and whatnot. Additionally, they had Secretary of State Jay Dardenne come out and give a speech during lunch about the history of Louisiana politics. I also do the website for them. Give it a listen and hear what the program is all about. They’re always looking for members. And its a worthy cause to take part in.
